Children’s Weight Management

Our healthy lifestyle programme supports children aged 4-17 years old. Our programmes encourage children and young people who are above a healthy weight to eat healthier, move more and feel better.

We currently have Children’s  Weight Management programmes available in Bedfordshire & Milton Keynes, Manchester (PARS), Medway and Sheffield.

Tier 2 Specialist Child Weight Management

Our Tier 2 Child Weight Management Service is designed to support families in making sustained lifestyle and dietary changes.

This programme provides practical advice on diet, nutrition, and physical activity in a supportive group setting. Children and young people who are over the healthy weight range will benefit from sessions that include engaging physical activities, educational workshops on healthy eating, and behaviour change strategies.

Parents are also involved through nutritional and psychoeducational workshops conducted by nutritionists and weight management practitioners, ensuring a comprehensive family-based approach to health and well-being. Our goal is to help children and their families adopt healthier habits that are sustainable and fit into their daily lives.

Tier 3 Specialist Child Weight Management

Our Tier 3 Specialist Child Weight Management Service offers an intensive, multidisciplinary approach to weight management for children. Led by a team of healthcare professionals, including specialist nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and weight management practitioners, this programme provides individualised care tailored to each child’s needs.

The service includes comprehensive assessments, psychological support, and personalised dietary and physical activity plans. We focus on addressing the complex factors contributing to obesity and empowering children and their families with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Our aim is to foster long-term positive changes that improve overall health and well-being.
