Carol Weir

Carol is a Registered Dietitian and Registered Public Health Nutritionist, has a Masters in Public Health and is completing her PhD at ScHARR, Sheffield University. She is also currently working with Leeds Beckett University on the Public Health England Whole Systems Obesity Programme. Carol has nearly 20 years public sector experience. Previous roles include: Clinical Lead for Children’s Services at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust; Director of Sheffield’s Let’s Change4Life; Public Health Specialist at NHS Rotherham winning a National Health & Social Care Award for Excellence in Commissioning, as well as a range of Public Health and Clinical Dietetic roles.
Carol developed the first Nutrition & Dietetic Therapy Outcome Measures and has undertaken a number of pieces of work with NICE, National Obesity Observatory and government departments on obesity and school meals including developing the school meal standards. Carol is a member of the Education and Professional Practice Board of the British Dietetic Association. She enjoys travelling, and experiencing the local food, wine, art and culture of other countries.
